Based on a patented innovative technology developed by the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP), the VASCO particle size analyzer is a unique instrument for micro to nano particle size measurements in dispersions.The measurement principle is based on Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (PCS) of the back scattered light.

Moreover, in most cases no sample dilution is necessary which makes measurements almost instantaneous. The VASCO also integrates a premium high power, fiber pigtailed 658 nm Laser diode. Thanks to its temperature stabilization, this source can extend the size analysis range from a few microns down to 2 nm.

A small optical head for size measurements in a hostile environment. Using single mode optical fibers to transmit the laser and the scattered signal through an airtight connection, this small size module allows the user working with unstable solvents to analyze their nano-particle dispersions in a glove box environment. With its unique solvent proof sample cell, and its powerful proprietary Rean software using Padé Laplace algorithm to measure poly-dispersive dispersions, performances are as good as bench top performances : size measurement from 2 nm to 6 µm, with concentration levels up to 40 %.
